everyone! With the event plotting underway, I wanted to throw out the idea of a Labuwu Blind box-Style Swap Meet as a way of making new CR and strengthening existing CR!

The idea is simple: ICly, your character wins a labuwu of someone they don’t recognize, or only recognize second hand, or someone they simply REALLY didn’t want to get. This can be threaded out or simply handwaved! A few days into the Night Market, Amari will put up an open post on the network proposing a swap meet where people can come posting what labuwu they have and/or what ones they’re looking for and hopefully meet up with other characters who have just the one they’re looking for! The true collectible experience!

OOCly, this will be a coordinated effort, at least to a degree. I won’t stop you if you wanna just run wild and free but yeah.

If you’re interested, reply here with this form and let us know who you’re interested in collecting and then reply to others with who you’re interested in finding, then coordinate trades that can take place in the network mingle or even
on your own event TL! I’m not the cops!

Remember that labuwu don’t have to be of characters in game - they can be of other canonmates or CRAU as well!

Idk man I just think it’d be funny and cute and fun. It won’t hurt my feelings if no one else wants to participate, i just had to get the idea out there.

[It seemed that most of those important to Rider... couldn't remember her. Couldn't remember being in Ellipsa. Trying to fight back any lingering helpless feelings, and for lack of any idea what to do, Rider took to the network to gather information.]

Um... I am not sure what is going on, but... did something happen in Nightwake in the past few hours? I returned from completing a quest in the Autumn Segment, and a number of people I have spoken to since are acting abnormally.

...If there is anyone else who has not been affected and has any information, then please inform me.

[ After taking quite some learning and adjusting to the phone, then having propped everything all up, Wei Wuxian, in his usual attire, settles on the floor in front of the camera. He's sitting back just far enough to show that there's two rabbits in his lap, and a black bamboo flute sitting at his side.

He gives a small wave to whoever is watching. Although he's certainly on the tentative side with all of this, and even more so heartbroken, as he misses his husband already, Wei Wuxian appears relaxed. ]

I only just found myself here within the past, ah- day or so, I think? There's been so much to learn! "Technology" is incredible~! So, what I'd like to know is: setting aside what information is given at the start, in your opinion, what's the most important thing I should know during my time here? Hello all!

I've been here a little over a week now, but I realized I haven't introduced myself yet! My name is Cat, and I am bringing in one Cho Hakkai from the old 2000s anime series, Saiyuki!

Hakkai is a polite yet absent-minded young man with a love for learning, traveling, and keeping his three chaotic accomplices in check. He's sort of like the mom-figure in his band of weirdos, often responsible for the cooking, cleaning, and overall caretaking of the group. With him comes his young pet dragon, Jeep, who can transform into a World War II military jeep. (Yeah, the series is just like that)

Deep down, he is a fairly complex character, though, with one of those tragic, angsty backstories that led up to him accidentally acquiring a massive body count on his hands. It's full of trigger-warnings, though, so feel free to check out his content warnings and opt-out options in his info page to see if there's anything you wish to avoid. (Saiyuki, as a series, has a stupid amount of adult themes and topics.)

He is also hiding the fact that he is not human; specifically, he is a plant youkai. However, he is very self-conscious about it and won't bring it up unless it's forced out of him by others. Although, because of that, he does have natural powers, such as producing chi blasts DBZ-style, creating energy barriers, and healing others with his energy. However, overall, he is a very kind and polite man, as long as people stay on his good side. He is always trying to make himself useful, despite being a self-conscious introvert.

As for myself, I am a recent West Coast transplant to the East Coast, currently trying to settle down and get my life back together after such a significant change. I've been swamped these days, but after a full year out of the DWRP scene, I've super missed it and am so happy to get back in! I mostly love to spend my time hyperfixating on old anime and video games, although I have also become a junkie for Chinese Donghua. Other than that, you will often see me spending time sharing pictures of my dog or discussing my job as a manager at a fragrance shop.

But sometimes, intent isn't enough. Sometimes, mistakes are made.

Hello, all! Just posting a mini intro for the sake of it-

I'm Alsie, and I've brought in Wei Wuxian, from the novel Mo Dao Zu Shi! He's a former(?) cultivator and necromancer who fell from grace and died before his soul was ritualistically summoned back to life. (But that's the boring part). He's a pretty easy going guy, albeit a total gremlin. He has an impossibly high tolerance and love for spicy foods and alcohol, is fond of rabbits (he's coming in with two!), and also a musician.

He also has a debilitating, crippling fear of dogs; doesn't matter how small or docile. Plz do have fun with that- I welcome it!

Anyway. He's also from ancient China, so while he'll be quick to catch on, the whole Technology Thing will throw him quite a lot. Feel free to check out his info here!
